    Gold tests the 4,000 support

Friday, October 23. Gold tested the 4,000 mark, down 28% from its peak.

I'm pleased to say that the call I made a year ago in my post on gold has been fully confirmed.

Gold has completed its "bell" and reached very strong support levels.

Gold: the 2009-2015 bell vs 2023-2026, monthly closes, 3,900 support

Looking ahead, there are two scenarios: a bounce off this support, or, after a serious fight around this level, a further move down to 3,200-3,500, which is roughly where the fundamental value of this commodity sits.

Which way it goes? I don't think anyone knows.

The deciding factors will be oil prices and US Treasury yields, along with how long investors keep buying AI-sector stocks with such fanatical optimism.

The outcome of this battle is unpredictable, and personally I intend to step back for a while and watch it play out from the sidelines.

    What will you do?

    (Not investment advice.)

My 2025 forecasts have proven accurate. Now, looking toward the end of 2026 — politics, Fed leadership change under Warsh, long-end bond yields approaching critical zone, oil deficit pushing $100+, AI cash flows turning negative. The outlook is not encouraging. I would like to be wrong.

Rumors of the "Death" of U.S. Treasuries Are Greatly Exaggerated

In recent days, we've seen dramatic headlines proclaiming the "end of the dollar" and "hyperinflation." But the reality tells a different story. The recent volatility was largely driven by technical issues, while a quietly passed stablecoin bill could generate unprecedented demand for U.S. Treasuries.

In my new article, I reflect on how global markets evolved in 2025 — from AI and gold hype to liquidity tightening and the rise of tokenization. As we enter a year of heightened complexity, I argue that vigilance, not exuberance, will define smart positioning. 🎄 Wishing you and your families a thoughtful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
